Oneida County Bike & Walking Trails Council

Hiking and biking trails are popular in Oneida County, WisconsinThe Oneida County Bike and Walking Trails Council was formed as a result of the Healthy People Oneida County Community Health Plan. The goal for this group of individuals is to make Oneida County more “walkable” and “bikeable.”

At this time there are approximately 175 miles of trails in Oneida County designated for walking/hiking/biking. The council has released the first edition of the Oneida County Trails Map. Updated maps will follow as more trails are formed/designated. The council is also in the process of adopting by-laws and appointing officials as well as obtaining non-profit/tax exempt status. In doing this, the council will be allowed to apply for larger amounts of grant funding. If you are interested in this initiative, or would like more information please visit www.bikeoneida.com or contact Todd Troskey at 369-6111.
